Chao-Ming Teng, artist and head of Giloo documentary media, uses the Taiwanese ballad Rainy Night Flowers in his work After All These Years, simulate a first-person confessional, expressing the background behind the song by revealing his character and past experiences, revealing the sea changes in time and the journey of the mind.

Chao-Ming’s artistic practice is often linked to history, narrative, interactive systems and structures, randomness and unpredictability, revealing the challenges of subjectivity construction. In this lecture, he shares his over ten-years creative production. There are often “reproducible methods” in his works. These methods are like principled tools, showing how he dismantles existing structures and reconstructs them with propose to reveal unique viewpoints and approaches giving viewers a new cognition and perception to experience.
