Crossing Boundaries–Gallery Curatorial Narratives
HOW ARE IMAGES RECEIVED AND INFORMATION CREATED
July 14, 2021
Founder of Nunu Fine Art, Nunu Hung, shared from a practical business standpoint how she selected and built relationships with collaborative artists, organized exhibitions, addressed the commercial market of contemporary art, and most importantly, how she translated the creation of art into an attitude of knowledge transfer.
After leaving New York in 2014, Nunu Hung returned to Taiwan to establish the Nunu Fine Art gallery space. “Small but Fine” has always been the motto of Nunu Fine Art. Positioned as a commercial gallery, it has launched dozens of stunning contemporary art exhibitions with both academic and market value since the beginning. Nunu Fine Art has invited many artists active in international art museums and biennales to Taiwan and to display their works. It has also assisted artists in navigating between the institutional system of art museums and small private exhibitions, activating the agency of commercial galleries.
In this seminar, Nunu shared the works of Contino Hermández from the Venice Biennale Cuba Pavilion and astounding cases of past collaborations with artists.
